Built a comprehensive end-to-end infrastructure for public health surveillance of HIV in Chicago:
· To improve coordination within health departments HIV programs to ensure continuity of care, and comprehensive provision of, prevention and care services for people at risk, or living with, HIV
· To create opportunities for secure, de-identified data sharing with multiple clinical providers and community-based organizations that will allow for timely identification and offering of HIV services
· To collect, analyze, interpret, and disseminate HIV data
· To conduct data-driven planning, monitoring, and evaluation to improve HIV interventions

The project involves some of similar backend components in terms of realigning data, transformation, and automation, and finally insights via visualization. The project showcases the team’s ability to work in a govt. the system behind their firewall and deliver state-of-the-art informatics disease surveillance system integrating data pipelines into third-party software like Tableau, Datavant, SAS, etc.

Project ROI is tremendous on patient care as the system replaces the manual processes, and in the long term allows the health department to extend disease segments by using the underlying infrastructure as the central repository. It is the most comprehensive automated interactive dashboard for public use a big city public health department was able to make available with our work.
